Hello!

Thanks for stopping by. Here’s a little story about me.

Born in rural northern Maine during the days of no interwebs, I grew up loving all things cartoons, movies, comics, and games. Part of my boundless enthusiasm for such things combined with boredom manifested in constantly drawing. My oldest brother got into penciling comics for a small company in Maine in the 90’s, and I was astounded. Kind of doomed me from then on, really.

After drawing every day for years on end, I finally was able to get myself (and the funds) together to attend the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, Inc. I graduated from there with a diploma in Illustration in 2004. Easily three of the best years of my life. Meeting heroes of the industry, fellow aspirants, and editors of major companies. All the while, expanding my skill set.

I landed my first professional art gig in 2002, and have been a freelancer off-and-on since. As is often the case with freelancing, while my children were young I took a day job with some security. This impacted how much work I could put out. With my two children now nearly full-grown and annoyed by my very presence, I have more time to devote to this pursuit.

Feel free to drop me a line, grab some art in my shop, check out my socials and videos, or even stop by and see me at a con. I’d love to talk about important things, like how it’s not Hot Rod’s fault Optimus Prime died.
